Buyer Exclusive Agency Agreement Updates

Hello everyone! Troy Stiller here with The Stiller Group, your local real estate experts. Today, I want to talk to you about an important change in the real estate buying process that takes effect immediately: the new requirement for Buyer Exclusive Agency agreements to be signed by all buyers.

A Buyer Exclusive Agency agreement is a four-page legal contract between you, the buyer, and the real estate agent. This agreement ensures that your agent works exclusively for you, representing your best interests throughout the home buying process. This new requirement fosters a more transparent and professional environment in the real estate market. It clarifies roles and responsibilities, reduces misunderstandings, and eliminates surprises.

Previously, it was common for a buyer to call me or someone from my team to see a home after answering a few pre qualification questions. We would then proceed to show the home. However, as of today, there's an additional step in the process. So please don't be upset if we can't skip this step; it’s now mandatory.

To wrap up, it’s crucial for you, as a buyer, to choose an agent who is skilled, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. At The Stiller Group, we embody all these qualities and bring 40 years of experience with thousands of transactions closed. If you’re thinking about purchasing a home and have questions about any part of the process, give us a call. We can schedule a consultation to go over the entire process, ensuring you know what to expect every step of the way.
