
Troy is a Southern Indiana native born and raised in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. He began working early (at the forceful request from his parents) on a family farm when he was only 6 years old. Troy believes that this led to his incredible work ethic as he grew into an adult. Troy has done a little bit of everything throughout his life, working as a landscaper, concrete laborer, supervisor at UPS, and working musician just to name a few. Troy is happily married to his wife, Melissa and have two beautiful children, Luna and Jude. Troy, at his core, is a family man, loyal friend, and believes in the work hard, play hard concept. He is a music lover and began playing guitar when he was just 10 years old. After years of learning guitar and several other instruments, Troy began writing his own music and then joined a band in High School and that landed him and his band a management, production, and publishing deal with The Consortium in Nashville, TN. That music stint lasted for years, but then came to an end. Troy began soul searching after his professional music career had halted. He enrolled in college at Indiana University Southeast with a focus in Business. While Troy was attending college, he served tables at Outback Steakhouse, worked at UPS as a supervisor, and also decided to enroll in a Real Estate Certification class in 2007. Unbeknownst to Troy, this was the beginning of a long and successful career in Real Estate. Despite one of the largest and longest crashes the market had ever seen, Troy persevered and only after 4 months of selling Real Estate, he began to move up to one of the top Realtors in Southern Indiana and was awarded Rookie of the Year for his first full year in the business, at Schuler Bauer Real Estate Services. Breaking records in every subsequent year, Troy began to drowned himself in work and decided that he needed help with his Real Estate business. In 2012, Troy hired a part time assistant to help with administrative duties, while he was out meeting clients and putting deals together. If you ask Troy, he will tell you that hiring an assistant was the best business decision he has ever made. At this point, the sky was the limit for Troy. He loves to learn new things and master anything that he is interested in. Sales Volume kept increasing year over year and now it was time....time to hire more talent in his business for growth and leverage. Troy then began to search for a buyer specialist to work primarily with buyers, and he could then focus on listings. This was a game changer for Troy and also the start of The Stiller Group Real Estate Team.
After years of record breaking in the Southern Indiana area, achieving National recognition, a dozen awards...at the present time The Stiller Group consist of an Executive Assistant, Marketing director, (5) buyer specialist, and (2) listing agents. 2020, despite the "year of the pandemic," Troy and group had the best year yet, achieving a sales volume of $73,386,302 and 257 transactions. Troy ultimate goal for his team is to get to $100,000,000 in sales volume, a feat that has never been achieved by a team in Southern Indiana.
